Inflation doubled in May

New inflation figures (WPI Inflation) based on wholesale market prices have emerged. It has more than doubled in the month of May compared to April and overall has reached a 15-month high. In future, the effect of wholesale inflation may be visible to the common people of the country and the retail market, then we will have to see what decision the RBI takes in this regard.

In the month of May, the wholesale inflation rate within the country was 2.61 percent. This is almost double the 1.26 percent in April. While in May of last year the country’s wholesale inflation rate was below zero, that is, negative. It was -3.61%.

Expensive vegetables put a dent in your pocket

The prices of expensive vegetables have been the biggest burden on the pocket of the common man. A huge increase in wholesale prices of potatoes, onions, tomatoes and other vegetables was observed. The inflation rate for vegetables was 32.42% in the month of May.
