YouTuber Kaushal Pandey, who cheated millions of rupees in the name of getting a government job in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur, has been arrested by the police and sent to jail. Accused Kaushal’s exploits were such that you will be shocked to know at whose behest the YouTuber was committing such a huge fraud on people? For the past three years, all kinds of games have been going on around the District Magistrate’s office, but the surprising thing is that no one was aware of it. However, taking the complaints of dozens of people seriously, Jaunpur Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma has taken great action in the whole incident. After Kaushal’s arrest, the pulse of his boss, who rescued him, has increased. They are beginning to fear that the police may reach them too.
Kaushal Pandey, who is accused of duping dozens of people in the name of providing government jobs in Jaunpur and extorting money from them, is a resident of Kanwan village in Madiahun tehsil area. According to information, during the Covid period, he came in contact with some so-called senior journalists and started running his YouTube channel under their protection. Then gradually he became obsessed with becoming an editor. He opened an office in Madiyahu which was inaugurated by the then District Magistrate of the district, Dinesh Kumar Singh. DM’s visit and inauguration further increased his stature in the eyes of the general public. People started to fall into his trap considering him to be close and influential to the authorities. But what he did to become an editor was quite shocking.
Become an editor by cheating
It is alleged that Kaushal Pandey applied to become editor of Madiyahun Darshan and Vaibhav Ujala Hindi daily newspaper. When the application report was not sent from the District Magistrate’s office due to lack of police recommendation, the accused himself fraudulently prepared the report in the name of the District Magistrate’s office and sent it to the Press and Registrar’s Office, New Delhi. When the press and registration office officials in Delhi saw this report, they started doubting the report. After this, the officials sent the report along with a letter from there and sought information from the District Magistrate’s office whether the report was sent from their office.
Commotion in the office
As soon as the letter reached the District Magistrate’s office, there was an uproar. Hastily, for this forgery, the then City Magistrate Devendra Singh registered a case under the Press and Book Registration Act 1867 against the accused Kaushal Pandey on 22 May 2023 at the Madiyahun Police Station. It is alleged that the accused Kaushal, who was sent to jail, did not even leave the District Information Office. Passes issued by the Information Department during the elections were fraudulently cloned and distributed arbitrarily.
Even the DM had no knowledge of the fraud
According to the victims, the accused Kaushal Pandey was playing the whole game from the DM office located in the collector complex of Jaunpur. After leaving the DM’s office, a register will come from outside and a masked person will mark everyone’s presence on it. Meanwhile, Kaushal and some of his close people were present there. There was a cheating game going on in the government office but no official was aware of it. Even after years of not getting any appointment, people investigated and after not getting the money back, the victims filed a complaint about the fraud done to them. Dozens of cases have been registered against accused Kaushal Pandey in several police stations in Jaunpur.

According to the victims, the accused youth used to create false photos of the Prime Minister and many other big leaders and show them there to make people believe. His panicked expression and driving in the luxury Scorpio car became the talk of the town, but after the fraud was exposed, one after another the victims started filing police complaints.
Keep an eye on police officers
After jailing the accused who committed fraud in the name of government job, the Jaunpur police have started an investigation into the whole matter. Kaushal was not alone in doing this. In fact, he was accompanied by several alleged senior journalists who used to introduce the accused to district officials and also provide him security. Now whether the mastermind of this whole scam is Kaushal Pandey or the police and SOG team are busy investigating it. Along with this, the criminal records of the journalists are also being checked to identify and take action against those who covertly harass the general public in the name of journalism.
