Samajwadi Party has appointed in-charges for assembly by-elections. Party’s national general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav has been made in-charge of Katheri seat in Ambedkarnagar district. Also, MP Awadhesh Prasad and Lal Bihar Yadav have been appointed in charge of Milkipur. At the same time, Mirzapur’s Mazwan seat has been given to Virender Singh, who is also an MP.
While the responsibility of Karhal seat has been given to Chandradev Yadav. Indrajit Saroj has won Phulpur assembly seat. Party MLA Rajendra Kumar has been made in-charge of Sismau seat in Kanpur city.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has the responsibility of Milkipur seat of Ayodhya and Kateri seat of Ambedkar Nagar in BJP. Akhilesh has entrusted the responsibility of Katheri to uncle Shivpal Yadav. Awadhesh Prasad and Lalbihari Yadav will be jointly in charge of Milkipur.
Milkipur seat has become vacant due to Avdhesh Prasad becoming MP. Similarly, Lalji Verma, who was the MLA from Katehari, has also become the MP from Ambedkar Nagar.
