The winner of the National Cricket League (NCL), an American tournament played in the 10-over format, has been decided. In the final match played on October 15, Chicago won the title by defeating the Atlanta Kings. The Indian batsman, who converted at the age of 25, played a major role in Chicago’s win. Chicago won the tournament title under the leadership of that Indian cricketer. After winning the final, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar gave the trophy to the captain of the winning team.

The name of that Indian cricketer is Robin Uthappa, under whose captaincy the Chicago team won the title of the first season of the National Cricket League T10. Robin Uthappa was initially a Hindu but later converted to Christianity at the age of 25. Uthappa, who has retired from Indian cricket, contributed both with the bat and captaincy to help Chicago win the NCL title.
Chicago defeated the Atlanta Kings in the finals
In the final match, Chicago CC batted first and scored 160 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs. Opening captain Robin Uthappa scored 35 runs off 15 balls for the team which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from that, Leonardo Julian played an innings of 61 runs in 22 balls.
The Atlanta Kings now had a target of 162 runs to win, but they could not score more than 117 runs. Tom Bruce scored an unbeaten 61 off 21 balls for Atlanta, but his attempt to lead the team to victory failed and Uthappa’s team lost the field.
Sachin gave the trophy to Uthappa
Sachin Tendulkar, who arrived in America for the final match of NCL, handed over the victory trophy to Chicago CC captain Robin Uthappa after the victory.
