Abdul Ghaffar’s shop in Sadar Bazar has seen all phases from 1965 to today’s new India, but Abdul says this new phase is the most historic phase for the tricolor. Because, nowadays they are making more than 1.5 lakh tricolor flags in a day, the demand for tricolor is very high.
The work of making the tricolor takes 24 hours
Abdul Ghaffar says that there was a time when we used to make only three to four thousand tricolor flags in a day, but the government’s Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan changed the whole situation and today tricolors are in huge demand from all states. country is Due to which we have to work 24 hours. According to Abdul Ghaffar, the demand is so high that the number of artisans had to be doubled. Also operations are being done in four shifts.

People got employment with tricolor in every house
According to information, thousands of people have also got employment through the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. About four thousand artisans work at Abdul’s shop, who earn one thousand rupees a day. Most of them belong to the Muslim community, including women. Abdul Ghaffar popularly known as Zandewala is a merchant of Sadar Bazaar. He says that our shop was the first shop in the country to start making flags.
In 1984, 5 lakh flags were made in one day
Recalling the period of 1984, Ablud Ghaffar says that in that election we worked to make five lakh flags in one day. This work was done by 10 thousand women. 5 thousand flags came from every house. Ghaffar says that Indira Gandhi, Lal Krishna Advani, Atal Bihari Vajpayee loved him very much and worked as if he was a child. He has worked for Congress Party, Jan Sangh and many other parties.
Even today, they are sold from this shop in Sadar Bazar, from small hand flags to large flags mounted on poles at railway stations and state borders. Apart from the tricolor, party flags of political parties are also made at Abdul’s shop.
