IND vs SA: Team India’s winning start, defeated South Africa by 143 runs

Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian women’s team has won the first match of the ODI series against South Africa by 143 runs. On the basis of Smriti Mandhana’s century, Team India challenged South Africa to score 266 runs to win. But South Africa succumbed to the sharp bowling of Asha Sobhana. Team India bowled out South Africa for 122 runs in 37.4 overs and won by 143 runs. With this win, Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.

Team India’s bowlers kept South African batsmen tied down. Only four South Africans were able to reach double digits. Both could not even crack the pumpkin. So 5 people could not reach double digits. Sune Luus scored the highest 33 runs. Sinaloa Jafa added an unbeaten 27 runs. Marija Kapan scored 24 runs and Tajmin Brits scored 18 runs. Asha Shobhana took the highest 4 wickets from Team India. Deepti Sharma showed both the batsmen the way out of the field. Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar and Radha Yadav took 1-1 wickets.
