A brother killed his brother for money in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki. In order to grab the insurance amount of 50 lakhs, the brother killed his own brother by shooting him with an illegal pistol. Virendra Verma, younger brother of deceased Arvind Verma, was visiting his sister-in-law. Police say Virendra had an immoral relationship with his sister-in-law due to which he used to visit her regularly in Barabanki.
Sanitation worker Arvind Verma was murdered on the night of July 5 in Murai Majare Madhanapur of Badosarai Kotwali area of ​​Barabanki. The police involved in the investigation arrested Virendra Verma, the younger brother of the accused, on Thursday. SP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that Ashok Verma, a resident of Murai Majare Madhanapur under Badosarai police station, lodged a complaint on July 6 that his brother had been shot dead. The SP constituted 4 teams headed by Additional Superintendent of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha to investigate the incident and instructed to make the matter public as soon as possible. Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the door of the deceased’s room was locked from inside and no shots were fired from the window either. There were no witnesses to the incident. At the time of the incident, other members of the family were living in an old house away from home. When the family arrived in the morning, they found that someone had shot Arvind.

The SP said that Virendra Kumar Verma, the younger brother of the deceased, works in property. In connection with his business, he has borrowed money from many people and due to his inability to pay it back, he has accumulated a lot of debt. The SP said that since both Virendra and Arvind lived together, people were asking Arvind for money as well. On this Arvind returned some people’s money, but kept taunting Virendran daily that he had taken a loan and I was repaying it.
