A nephew shot dead his maternal uncle and aunt in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. He also shot his cousin, injuring him as well. The accused fired three rounds. Neighbors also reached there after hearing the sound of gunfire. Neighbors along with other family members caught the accused nephew. He was then handed over to the police.
The accused told the police that his maternal uncle used to drink alcohol and abuse his mother. Many times he even forbade his uncle to do so. But he was not satisfied. On Tuesday too, in a state of intoxication, he started raping his mother. Accused said- I stopped my uncle. But he did not stop. He continued to abuse his mother. Then I shot him in anger. When his aunt came to save him, he was also shot. Then my cousin was also shot. I was tired of the daily conflicts.
The case is from Jayanagar Colony in Takrohi Police Station area. Here, Rajendra Singh (65), who retired from a fourth class post in the sugarcane department, lived in the same house with his wife Saroj (60) and three brothers. He also has a sister named Saroj. After separating from her husband, she lives in her maternal uncle’s house. According to Bhai Jagat Pal, Rajendra came home in a drunken state around 9 pm on Tuesday night. He had a dispute with his sister Pushpa over some issue, following which his nephew fired at Rajendra with a country-made pistol. When her sister-in-law came to her rescue, she was also shot. Apart from this, Rajendra’s son was also injured due to bullet injury.
The nephew was troubled by the daily quarrels
According to the information, the nephew accused of murdering maternal uncle and aunt had brought a pistol from a friend three days ago. He was very disturbed by the daily conflicts over his stay at his mother’s house. He also told his mother that he would one day prove his uncle right. After the accident, the police took the nephew with them. It is being said that the nephew has admitted that Rajendra uncle used to harass his mother Saroj on a daily basis. Even on Tuesday night, uncle scolded his mother a lot. Due to which he became very angry and carried out this horrible incident.
Second uncle is the main witness
ACP said that Pushpa’s elder brother Jagat Pal was there at the time of the incident. The whole incident happened before his eyes. His statement is very important. Police are making him a key witness. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered against the accused nephew. Meanwhile, the accused’s cousin is undergoing treatment at the hospital. His statement will also be taken.
