BJP leader Anil Vij claimed the post of Chief Minister
Amid Haryana elections, BJP leader and former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has claimed the post of Chief Minister. Anil Vij has announced this in a press conference. He also said that I claim the post of CM, this will be the decision of the high command. The party has fielded Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt. However, the party is yet to make it clear who will be the CM face of BJP from Haryana.
Anil Vij said, I am the most senior MLA of BJP in Haryana, I have contested 6 times, won and am contesting for the 7th time, till date I have never asked anything from my party, but this time on the request of the people of the entire state of Haryana. , many people are coming to meet me and on the request of the people of Ambala camp, this time I will claim the post of Chief Minister on the basis of my seniority, that is the work. Whether the High Command creates it or not, but if you elect me, I will change the destiny of Haryana, change the image of Haryana.
Who is Anil Vij?
Anil Vij is a big name in Haryana politics. Anil Vij has also been the former Home Minister of Haryana. He has been active in politics since his college days. He joined the All India Student Council during his college days. After which he also became the general secretary of ABVP in 1970. Anil Vij first contested from Haryana in 1996 as an independent candidate from Ambala Cantt and won. Even after this victory he continued to be victorious.

Claimed the post of CM in 2014
Contested elections on BJP ticket in 2009, 2014 and 2019 and won all three times. Apart from this, he also served as a cabinet minister in Manohar Lal Khattar’s government in 2014 and 2019. However, he seemed upset with Naib Saini becoming the chief minister, which is why when the party made Naib Saini the chief minister in 2024, Anil Vij was not included in the cabinet. Earlier in the year 2014 too, Anil Vij was a contender for the CM post, but the party made Manohar Lal Khattar the CM.
Polling for 90 assembly seats in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 5, followed by counting on October 8.
