Former minister Jawahar Chavda, who joined BJP from Congress after the Lok Sabha elections, has now openly rebelled against BJP. Angry with the statement of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Jawahar Chavda has shared an Instagram video. In this, he has removed the election symbol of BJP. He has said that his identity is not because of BJP but he has his own identity. Jawahar Chavda also said that whatever statement Mansukh Mandaviya gave, he should have given it before or during the elections.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, ‘There are many leaders who consider themselves very big. No one except the party has recognized them. They have been given status. This is their identity.’ Such a statement was given. After his statement, former minister Jawahar Chavda’s reaction came to the fore. He retorted by saying that his identity is not with the BJP but with a leader who raises people’s issues.

Former minister Jawahar Chavda hails from Junagadh district of Gujarat. In 2017, he reached the assembly by winning from Manavadar assembly constituency on a Congress ticket. After this, he resigned from the Congress along with three MLAs. By-elections were held on the Manavadar assembly seat. BJP’s Jawahar Chavda won and became MLA. He was made the Minister of Tourism and Fisheries in the Vijay Rupani government of Gujarat.

Jawahar Chavda contested the 2022 assembly elections from Manavadar. But Arvind Ladhani of Congress defeated him. At that time, Chavda had also complained to the BJP leadership that he had been attacked. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Arvind Ladhani resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP. Therefore, assembly by-elections were also held along with the Lok Sabha elections. Although Ladhani won in this, he alleged that Jawahar Chavda tried to defeat him.

Arvind Ladani demanded action against those working against the party. Therefore, there was a discussion whether the party would take any action against Jawahar Chavda. Meanwhile, Mansukh Mandaviya has given advice to those who were working against the party and who considered themselves big leaders. Although he did not name anyone, Chavda has reacted to his statement.
