From Julana, Congress has fielded Vinesh Phogat and Aam Aadmi Party has fielded WWE wrestler Kavita Dalal. Kavita Dalal, who till now has shown skills in the field of sports, had a special conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsha on the question of what tactics she will adopt in politics.
He said that my fight is for my village, society and people. There are many problems in my area. There are no good roads, stadiums, institutions and industries. There is a lot of work to be done besides this and I will fight on those issues.
Question: Aam Aadmi Party talks about free electricity, water, education and health, so will your issues here be same or different?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that whatever is the ideology of our party, the same issues will be ours. Our area lacks good education. There are no good schools here. Our party will build good government schools on the lines of private schools. To improve the health system we will provide mohalla clinics, provide employment to the youth and give them honorarium. These are the policies of Arvind Kejriwal and their impact was seen across the country. His policies are popular across the country. Our government is in two states, Haryana is in the middle, so why lag behind?
Question: What inspired you to enter politics?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that I am a farmer’s daughter. When the country’s farmers were protesting in Delhi, they were lathi-charged. I was in America at the time, I couldn’t help myself. Arvind Kejriwal’s help to the farmers at that time made me realize that he is a leader of today who can change the politics of India in the future.
Question: Have you already decided that you want to run?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that the elections will have to be fought with full strength.
Question: Had there been an alliance with the Congress, perhaps you would not have got the ticket?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that the country has given me a lot of respect because of what I have done for my country. So it was my duty to work for my country and youth. I was confident that my party would see my hard work and I thank my top leadership for considering me worthy of this. My party knows that this daughter, who made India proud by joining WWE, will create a stir in the assembly as well.
Question: Do you feel that you wasted a lot of time in your association with the Congress and you got less time to prepare for the elections?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that the ideologies of the parties are different. If there was no ideological battle, why would the parties be different? So the ideology of our party does not match with theirs and sometimes when one gets too proud he gets drunk with power. He sees no one but himself. But he fails to see that people need development. BJP-Congress are parties with lots of money, but our party belongs to the poor, works for the common man, works for their betterment. Talks about the development of people.
Question: When Vinesh Phogat sat down to protest at Jantar-Mantar, you reached there and supported him. Are you going to contest with him today?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that at that time she was thinking about the real problem. But I believe the problems were not only with Vinesh Phogat. There are many girls who were not highlighted, whose voices did not reach the front. Incidents also happened with those who did not show courage, but whether their case was specially made or not, we cannot say anything about this. But the Congress has seized this opportunity well, because this is politics in which sam, dam, danda bhed are all going on.
At that time our sympathies were with Vinesh, I myself went to support him. But I also want to ask our society that Vinesh sat to fight for his rights but he has nothing to do with politics. Now his parachute entry is done. I want to ask everyone who will give justice to our brothers and our uncles, who were working hard in Julana constituency for many years, their rights were denied?
Question: Brij Bhushan alleged that Congress and Dipendra Hooda are behind the wrestlers’ agitation.
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that everything is politics. In politics, people keep throwing mud at each other. I do not agree with this. Phogat sat for his right reasons, but the Congress has taken advantage of him. There has been some involvement in uncovering the work. At the same time, when public sentiment was attached to Phogat, Congress fielded him as its candidate, to capitalize on it.
Question: You and Vinesh are contesting against each other. What will you say to him when you two come face to face?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that Vinesh Phogat is respected as a player. But here he is a Congress candidate. The competition will be fierce, she will try her best, I will also try my best. Let’s see who the masses love.
Question: During the election, there is any confusion among the people that one side is the daughter-in-law and the other side is the daughter-in-law?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that daughter is very sensitive, even if she is sitting thousand kilometers away, she will be present to make my village happy. A daughter has feelings, a daughter-in-law is also someone’s daughter, but we cannot say anything if she comes to the father-in-law and forgets some things or if her relationship with the society ends. However, this confusion will be removed by the public. If the public depends on Janardhan, bless the daughter or support the son-in-law.
Question: Earlier Aam Aadmi Party was talking to Congress on 5 to 7 seats, now suddenly with no alliance it will contest on 90 seats, so what do you think?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that our party is capable and this time it is going to form the government. Strong candidates have been given for 90 seats in Haryana. It is a big thing that we are getting so much public support, our party is getting stronger day by day.
Question: The Supreme Court will give a verdict on Arvind Kejriwal’s bail on Friday. His inclusion in the list of star preachers, what do you expect?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said that he should have come out long ago but the whole country has understood the political intrigue and despotism. An honest person who wants to work for the welfare of people. These people don’t want to let him live. If honesty starts working in their country, their years of politics will be ruined, their equation will be ruined, that’s why they don’t want people to know what is your right?
Arvind Kejriwal should come out of jail. If you cannot come it is because of conspiracy. There is an uproar in the whole country. Whoever raised his voice for his rights, be it a farmer, a sportsman or a youth of any class, was crushed and lathi-charged. But now people will take revenge.
Question: Khap panchayats and farmer organizations also have a big contribution in Haryana elections, Vinesh claims that they are all with him, so will you go to these khaps and organizations for support?
Answer: Kavita Dalal asks why they will all go there. All are with me, may be with them but people are with me. Everyone is with me, everyone is supporting me. I have taken this step only after taking their consent.
Q: Who is your competition?
Answer: Kavita Dalal said I am not in competition with anyone, my issues are different. The ideology is different. No one has an ideology like ours, who stands firm on issues today? As many MLAs as there have been in our constituency till date, be it from any party, no one has flown the wing of development.
