The state government spends 18 thousand crore rupees every year on Ladli Brahmin Yojana. Apart from this, 5,500 crore rupees are spent to provide 100 units of electricity for 100 rupees. At the same time, the MP government provides Rs 17 crore subsidy on agricultural pumps, while Rs 1000 crore is required for the Rs 450 cylinder scheme.

Free beach plans also cost more

At the same time, the expenditure on free-seed schemes is also over Rs 25 thousand crore per year. In the year 2021-22, the expenditure on salaries and allowances of employees is Rs. 59,662 crore, which was 24.78 percent. In the year 2023-24 it will be Rs. 82.838 crore, which is 27.43 percent more than the budget. Not only this, there has been a huge loss in the General Provident Fund. In 2023-24, Rs 4 thousand 949 crore has been deposited in the GPF of employees, while the payment was Rs 5 thousand 563 crore. That means 614 crore rupees more had to be paid.

38 percent will take more loans than last time

This time the government is taking a loan of 88 thousand 540 crore rupees, this loan is 38 percent more than last financial year. The government took a loan of 55 thousand 708 rupees in the financial year 2023-24. Congress has raised questions on the government regarding this. Regarding this, the state finance minister Jagdish Deora says that the Congress has nothing. Will not terminate any ongoing plan.

The total revenue is 2.52 lakh crores

At present the total revenue of the government is Rs 2.52 lakh crore, while its revenue expenditure is Rs 2.51 lakh crore. The government’s expenditure is increasing more than its revenue, but the capacity of the government coffers is running out to meet the announcements made to woo the public during elections.
