85-year-old Shankar Mandal died on Monday after suffering from illness. 68-year-old wife Niyati Mandal was so shocked by her husband’s death that she started crying with her head on his chest. After 3 minutes Niyati also died. Both spent 50 years together in one year.
According to information, Shankar Mandal, who lives in Bholta village of Bharatpur police station area, got married to Niyati Mandal 50 years ago. The family moved on. After children, he also had grandchildren. It was a complete family. The couple was very happy with the family. But when Shankar turned 85, he began to fall sick due to advancing age. A few days ago, his health suddenly deteriorated.

He was admitted to Bharatpur Rural Hospital for treatment. A few days later he was discharged and sent home. A day or two after coming here, on Monday, his health suddenly deteriorated. Shankar died before his family could take him to the hospital. Niyati Mandal could not bear the shock of her husband’s death. She was sitting near her husband’s dead body. She put her head on her chest and started crying. Niyati fell silent as she cried. As soon as the family members tried to separate her from her husband’s body, they noticed that Neeti’s body had gone cold.

He was rushed to the hospital. When the doctor checked, he said that Niyati had also died. Niyati died just 3 minutes after her husband’s death. Seeing this, more sorrow fell on the family. Then Niyati’s dead body was brought home. The funeral procession of both the husband and wife left together from the courtyard of the house. Both were cremated together.
