PM Modi today inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University in Bihar. Currently students from 26 countries are studying in various courses in the university. 137 scholarships have also been started here for foreign students. The university runs PG, PG Diploma, PhD and short term courses. Construction of new campus at Rs. 1,750 crores has been done. Many of the buildings on the new campus are built with high-tech technology, keeping them cool in summer and warm in winter. The total cost of construction of the new campus is around Rs 1,750 crore. Its construction work was started in 2017. The university also has its own power plant. The new campus will offer courses ranging from PhD to Buddhist studies.

Two academic blocks have been created

Two academic blocks have been built in the new campus, with a total of 40 classrooms and seating for around 1900 students. A large auditorium has also been built, which can seat 300 people. A faculty club and a sports complex have also been built for the students studying in the university.

The campus of the new campus of Nalanda University is spread over a total area of ​​455 acres. A water recycling plant has also been installed here. Eco-friendly studies and activities will be conducted in the new campus. Separate schools have been created for the study of management and history. The university has signed MoUs with a total of 17 countries including Australia, Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam. The new campus has been constructed under the Nalanda University Act, 2010.
