How does Salman Khan Being Human Foundation work?
Salman Khan is known for his generosity. Salman Khan has always seen his parents helping others, so his inclination has always been towards charity. In keeping with his inclination, Salman Khan started a charity foundation in the year 2007, which he named ‘Being Human’. Process explained in PVR event
Being Human was founded by Salman Khan, but is actually run by Salim Khan. He has helped millions of people through this foundation. At a PVR event in 2017, Salman Khan was asked what is the process if someone wants or needs to contact your foundation. After this question, Salman gave detailed information about how his foundation works.
This is how ‘Being Human’ works
Salman said at the event, “Our foundation is jointly owned by my father and close friend Dr. Run by Sandeep. This foundation has no office, so they see patients outside. Some people also come fake, but the genuine cases that come are my father and Dr. Conducted by Sandeep. Apart from this we have many partners like Fortis Foundation, Suzuki Motorcycle and The Max Foundation.
Salman Khan continued, “We send many people to all these foundations and sometimes these foundations also send people to us. So this whole process is done by contribution. It is not that someone has any illness and we have paid the entire amount for the treatment. We give them a small amount and then send them to 4 or 5 foundations for the amount. Then, after collecting the maximum amount, it is deposited in the hospital or school as per requirement.
The actor continued, “We don’t promote it that much and that’s why the tie-up is happening here. Like clothes, jewelery and bicycles have also launched, all of which have been sold out. I am also thinking of selling mine. So whatever money comes from these connections, after tax is deducted, is used to help people.”
Being Human’s revenue model
This foundation works on various revenue models. In this foundation, instead of taking donations from the public, money is collected by selling Being Human’s clothing and bicycles online and in stores, and a percentage of the sales goes to helping people. Being Human is associated with Mandhana Mandhana Industries Limited. Mandhana’s company has a total of 17 Being Human stores, 6 franchise outlets, 99 store-in-stores, 60 distributors and 100 international outlets, which sell Being Human clothing.
