Sanjauli Masjid Controversy
The controversy over Sanjauli Masjid in Shimla is not going to stop. The date of October 5 has been given after the last hearing in this case. In order to maintain peace and order in Sanjauli, Section 163 has been imposed in the entire area from 7 am on Wednesday, after which gathering of five or more people has been banned. It means that any kind of protest will not be possible now.
Massive demonstrations were called by Hindu organisations. Regarding the protest, Shimla SP said, ‘We have implemented procedures under BNSS 163. Everything is normal and people are going to their schools and offices. Police deployment has been made as a precautionary measure. We are also monitoring with drones. If anyone violates the law we will collect evidence against such people. People of Himachal are peace loving people. So, even if people gather, it will be a peaceful demonstration.

Demand action against illegal construction
Today, regarding law and order within the House, Shimla Urban MLA Harish Janardhan sought a discussion under the order of the issue and gave instructions to maintain law and order during the demonstration in the House. Jairam Thakur said that a Congress minister raised his personal feelings in the house and after that the matter reached the Congress high command, now they are talking about removing the minister, on which the Chief Minister is also giving a vague reply. He said that this matter is related to public sentiments and tomorrow the Hindu community is protesting in Shimla, so the government should also handle it peacefully. He also appealed to the people to hold peaceful protests. He also demanded that the government take action to demolish the illegal construction.
Decision will come soon
State government minister Anirudh Singh said that all work in Himachal Pradesh will be done within the ambit of law. He said that the matter is not related to any particular building. Strict action should be taken against illegal constructions across the state. He also said that the Sanjauli Masjid issue is sensitive. The matter is currently going on in the Municipal Corporation Court and both the parties have responded and the decision will come soon.

Street vendor policy
Anirudh Singh said that the matter started with the street vendor issue. Councilors and people from many organizations also met the Chief Minister in this regard and demanded to reform the street vendor policy in the state. He said that the state government is serious about the whole matter. Be it an outsider or working in any home shop in the state, verification is required. A sub-committee has also been constituted in this regard. Anirudh Singh said that it is the responsibility of the government to maintain law and order in the state. All work in the state should be done within the ambit of law.
