The current term of the Jharkhand Assembly ends on January 5 in the year 2025, so it is possible that the state will hold elections in December. Before that, the political heat has started in the state. On Tuesday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Although CM Soren termed it a courtesy meeting, he also said that discussions between the two parties will soon begin regarding the upcoming assembly elections.
Talking to reporters after meeting Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, CM Hemant Soren said that – I was planning to meet both of them for a long time. It was a courtesy call. He said that now we will have a detailed discussion about the assembly elections soon. Meanwhile, he said that everything is going smoothly and peacefully in the state. We will run the government with full capacity and win the elections too.
Champai Soren gave a jolt to JMM
Excitement has increased in the state over the assembly elections. Recently the former Chief Minister of the state Champai Soren gave a big blow to CM Hemant Soren and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Champai left the JMM and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Ranchi on 30 August. He alleged that he was insulted in the party. However, Hemant Soren also retorted that his party will not be affected by going anywhere.
After joining the BJP, Champai Soren expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah and promised to form a BJP government in the state under their guidance.
