Rain in Delhi-NCR
It has been raining heavily in North India including Delhi-NCR for the past few days. Due to which the atmosphere has become pleasant. Many areas including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram received heavy rain last Sunday. There was heavy rain on Monday as well, with many areas seeing occasional showers.
Today i.e. Sunday, the Meteorological Department announced seven yellow alerts for heavy rain in many areas of Delhi. Due to heavy and continuous rains, many areas of Delhi NCR have been flooded due to which people have to face a lot of difficulties in movement.
The sky remained cloudy since Sunday morning
The sky has been cloudy in Delhi since Sunday morning. After this there was heavy rain in many areas. Many areas of NCR including Akshardham, Mayur Vihar received heavy rain in the afternoon. Even in the evening it is raining in many places including Safdarjung, Udyog Bhavan, Uttam Nagar. In such a situation people going home from office are facing great difficulty.

Due to the rain, the speed of vehicles slowed down on the roads. Vehicular traffic is seen on the roads, long queues of vehicles are seen far and wide. Traffic has been affected the most due to rain. There is a lot of jam on the roads from Delhi to Noida and Gurugram, due to which people are facing a lot of trouble. In such a situation, the police have issued a traffic advisory and advised to stay away from roads where there is heavy traffic jam.
Alerts for the coming days
Heavy rain is likely in many areas including Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad on August 13 and 14. The Meteorological Department has also announced yellow alert for these two days. Apart from this, rain is also likely in Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida. An alert has also been issued for August 16.
