Healthy MP initiative launched, CM Mohan Yadav said – Preventive healthcare tests will be done for the youth.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has launched a unique scheme for the health of the youth of the state. The government has launched the Healthy Madhya Pradesh initiative in this direction. Under this campaign, preventive health tests will be conducted to protect the youth of the entire state from lifestyle related diseases. If necessary, guidance will be given for doctor’s consultation.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has praised this campaign. And said that spiritual development can only happen with a healthy body. Earlier, 2.5 lakh people of the city were screened under the Health of Indore campaign. In this regard, a program was held in January 2024 in the presence of the then Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya. It was said that Indore’s preventive health care model will be implemented across the country. Urban Administrative Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, who was present at the event, also praised him.

The youth was suffering from many diseases

In the program, MP Shankar Lalwani said that preventive health care tests will be conducted across the state to keep the youth healthy. It has started from Indore. Dr. Vinita Kothari said that taking into account the results of the survey in Indore, immediate action is needed on health measures. So, now the Healthy Madhya Pradesh Initiative has been launched.

He said that out of 30 thousand out of these 2.5 lakh people, every fourth youth was found in the pre-diabetes stage. While 7.34 percent youth had thyroid problem. About two percent had elevated creatinine levels. More than 10 percent of young people may be suffering from liver disease, with elevated SGPT levels. 39.50% had elevated cholesterol, while 34% had blood pressure problems. In addition, about 33.5% of the youth were found to have high BMI levels and about 18% of the youth were found to be obese.

Discussion on increasing cases of cancer

Meanwhile, senior cancer surgeon Dr. Arun Agarwal also discussed the increasing cases of cancer among the youth and their lifestyle. Health of Indore program organized by MP Seva Sankalp, Central Lab, Red Cross Society and Indian Medical Association was attended by Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Indore MLAs, Mayoral Council members, councillors, other senior citizens and residents of Indore.
