Many young people take the loss in campus placement seriously and cannot move forward, but some people are not like that. Turn this defeat into your strength, move forward alone and write a success story. Akshat Chaturvedi is like that. When the internship round came on campus in the seventh semester of engineering, all eyes were on big companies, especially international ones like Capgemini. Around 300 students participated in this placement drive. But when the first round i.e. aptitude test was conducted, 5 students including Akshat were left out.
Now imagine, the guy who dreamed of his first job was eliminated in the first round! Hearing ridicule from friends and family was inevitable. But Akshat’s story does not end here. Actually, this is where your real story begins. We also tell you…
Akshat said smiling that I was also one of them. This failure on campus shook him, but instead of accepting defeat, he took motivation from his mother. Akshat tells that when he was rejected for placement, his mother told him that fate is always thinking of something big, something special will happen for you. And, indeed, the mother’s words turned out to be true. Akshat decided that he would do business like his father. Father Omprakash Chaturvedi had a small plastic pellet business, but it was full of struggle and hard work. In his childhood, Akshat had seen how his father constantly faced challenges in business, and perhaps it was from here that Akshat also learned to fight.

But starting a business was not easy. After being confused for a long time, with the help of some friends, he got the opportunity to try his luck in the IT industry. And then in January 2020, Akshat launched his startup – Brain Box Apps. The beginning was not easy. There were no clients or big projects. But Akshat did not lose his courage. By doing small jobs on platforms like Freelancer, I slowly started getting clients.
Many times I felt that perhaps I had made a wrong decision, says Akshat. The first few days there was no work and he spent the day lying in bed wondering what to do. But his parents supported him through every difficult time, especially his mother. Then one day, Akshat received the order for his first big project. This was the work of Musele Delta Therapy, from the Eagles Flights company. Akshat completed this project with full dedication and hard work and even today that company works with him.
Today, Akshat’s company provides IT services to more than 600 companies. From mobile app development to technology solutions, Akshat has taken his business to sky-high heights. Recently, he also received the *Best Employer Brand Award at the Rajasthan Innovation Leadership Award 2022. This award was organized by the *World Innovation Congress, which is a testament to his hard work and achievements.
I never gave any interviews again, says Akshat, laughing. And why give? When your own business becomes so big that you are in a position to provide work for others, then there is no need for an interview! This story by Akshat Chaturvedi is just one example of how one failure can change the direction of your life. Despite failing in campus placement, he created a company worth millions of dollars and proved that failure does not define you, but your bravery and hard work.
