Akshay’s last film was ‘Sarafira’. After a long wait, the film released in theaters on 12th July. Everyone had high expectations from the picture but the film failed to live up to these expectations. The film is releasing in theaters on August 15 .

Before ‘Sarafira’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ was released. The film was heavily promoted. But even this film could not do anything special at the box office. The film clashed with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Meydan’. ‘Bade Mian Chote Mian’ cost around Rs 350 crore to make. The film could not even meet its budget. The film collected Rs 111.49 crore worldwide. Even before this, his films like ‘Selfie’, ‘Mission Raniganj’ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ were flops at the box office.

In the coming time, he will be seen in the sequels of his films like ‘Hera Pheri 3’, ‘Housefull 5’, ‘Welcome 3’ and ‘Jolly LLB 3’.
