The main accused of the Hathras incident was arrested by the police.

Police have arrested Dev Prakash Madhukar, the main accused in the satsang stampede at Phulrai Mugalgarhi village in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, Bhole Baba’s lawyer has claimed that he has surrendered before the police. Dev Prakash was absconding since the day of the accident. The police had announced a reward of 1 lakh rupees on him. Dev Prakash was made the main accused in the accident. He was in charge of organizing the entire satsang.

Bhole Baba alias Narayan Sakar Hari’s special servant Dev Prakash Madhukar took permission from Sikander Rao SDM for the satsang organized in Phulrai Mugalgarhi. The permit said that a crowd of 80,000 people would gather, but about 2.5 lakh people gathered for the event. Bhole Baba entrusted Dev Prakash with the responsibility of chief servant. He was on the police radar after the accident.

Sikandar Rao came 10 years ago

Dev Prakash Devdhar resides in Damadpura New Colony, Mohalla, Sikandarrau, Hathras District. Mula Dev Prakash is a resident of Majra Salempur of Gram Panchayat Salempur Gadari of Avgarh Block of Eta District. Even today he owns property in the village. Dev Prakash’s parents live there. In the year 2014, Dev Prakash left his native village and started living in Sikandarrau.

Dev Prakash works as a technical assistant in MGNREGA in Eta district. He has been associated with Narayana Sakar Hari’s Satsang for many years. As soon as he came to Sikandarai 10 years ago, his interest in Baba increased. He joined Bhole Baba’s Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavana Samagam Samiti and started enthusiastically participating in satsang activities. Seeing his dedication and devotion, he was given the responsibility of chief servant. The police have arrested Dev Prakash as the main accused in 123 deaths. Termination action is also being taken against him in MGNREGA.

123 people lost their lives in the stampede

On Monday, July 2, there was a stampede at the end of the satsang of Narayan Sakar Vishwa Hari alias Bhole Baba in Phulrai Mugalgarhi village of Sikandarrau tehsil of Hathras district. People started falling over each other. 123 people lost their lives in this big tragedy. Most of the dead were women. The permission taken for the event had said that a crowd of 80 thousand people would gather, but more than 2.5 lakh people had gathered here. Bhole Baba is also absconding after the accident. However, the police did not register any complaint against Baba in the accident.
