Haryana gets Rs 1.10 lakh subsidy for free electricity scheme, here is the application process

Now the state governments are also giving additional benefits to the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana. After the Yogi government, now apart from the Centre, the Haryana government also provides separate subsidies to the people of the state. The government has given this information through its advertisement in the newspaper. The government provides an additional subsidy of Rs 50 lakhs for a 2 kilowatt solar panel. The central government gives him a subsidy of Rs 60,000. This means that now the people of Haryana will directly receive a subsidy of 1 lakh 10 thousand rupees.

How much will it cost?

If you buy a 2 kilowatt solar panel from a local company in the market, it will cost you up to Rs 40,000, but if you buy a solar panel from a Tata or Adani company, it will cost you up to Rs 1 lakh. The price of the 2 kilowatt solar panel on Google varies between different companies. If you have solar panels installed by a good company, you can expect to spend an average of Rs 1 lakh. While if you come from the state of Haryana, you will receive a subsidy of 1 lakh 10 thousand rupees from the government. This means you won’t need to spend a cent from home.

How to apply?

  1. First of all, register on the portal. After that, select your status. Select the electricity distribution company.
  2. Then enter the number of the electricity consumer. Enter your mobile number and email. Follow the instructions given on the portal.
  3. Login with consumer number and mobile number. Apply for rooftop solar according to the form.
  4. Wait for feasibility approval from Discom. Once you get feasibility approval, set up the plant with any supplier registered in your Discom.
  5. Once the installation is completed, deposit the plant details and order the net meter.
  6. After installation of net meter and inspection by Discom, they will generate commissioning certificate from the portal.
  7. Once you get the commissioning report. Provide bank account details and deposit a canceled check through the portal. You will receive your grant in your bank account within 30 days. This subsidy will be the sum of the total subsidy received from both the central and state governments.
