The father immediately informed the police, after which when the police reached the spot, some of his belongings were found lying on the bridge, but there was no trace of him. Police found the body of the constable in the river when he was searched in the morning. At present, the police have taken the dead body into their possession and sent it for postmortem and are busy investigating the whole matter.

It is being stated that the deceased constable was posted in the Puranpur police station area and on May 3 last, Qamar, a resident of a village under Puranpur police station, filed a case with the police station alleging that four people were travelling. Brezza, posing as a crime inspector in the car, robbed him of a mobile phone and Rs 3000 in cash. On the other hand, a person named Jitendra Kumar, in a case registered at the police station, said that a person named Sarfraz had fraudulently transferred Rs 14,000 to his account by pretending to be an officer of the CBI team.

When the police started investigating the case, it was found that Ramu, a constable posted at Puranpur police station, along with his accomplices Sarfaraz and Kallu, were carrying out the incidents. After registering a case against the accused in this whole matter, the police arrested the accused constable and his accomplice Sarfaraz and sent them to jail, where they got bail on May 9. He was suspended after going to jail. According to the father, some people framed him by making false allegations.

The body was found 50 meters away

Hardoi Superintendent of Police Nripendra Singh said that he received information about the incident last night. On receiving the information, the local police reached the spot. Her purse was found there and divers were deployed overnight but no trace was found. A body was found about 50 meters from the bridge this morning. The local police have completed the post-mortem process. A robbery case was registered against the deceased constable in Pilibhit and he was suspended. The entire matter is being thoroughly investigated.
