According to the Railways, this incident had a major impact on around 7 trains. As soon as the information was received, the officials of the Railway Administration reached the spot. He repaired the broken wire. Train operations have started on the railway line. After this sudden incident, Railways has emphasized on increasing the security system.
The accident took place when Durgiana Express (12357) traveling from Kolkata to Amritsar collided with an OHE wire. According to railway sources, Durgia Express Omar Tali was passing on the low line between Dalel Nagar. Then the engine of the train collided with the broken OHE wire causing a huge explosion. After this incident, the trains on the Lucknow Hardoi railway route were shortened.
Seven trains affected, trains delayed
The accident had a major impact on seven trains. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the railway team reached the spot. After investigation, the broken wire has been repaired. However, traffic is gradually returning to normal. But in the meantime many trains have been diverted from other routes. According to railway sources, many trains passing on the down track have been affected due to broken wires on the up track. The Lucknow mail passing through Hardoi was way behind schedule. The Chandigarh-Lucknow Express was also delayed by more than an hour and a half. Many trains have also been diverted from other routes after the incident.
Security arrangements will be further enhanced
According to the RPF and GRP administration, patrolling is done around the railway line for security arrangements.
