Several people die in stampede during satsang in Hathras

Satsang of Bhole Baba was going on in Phulwai village of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. After the shutdown, a stampede broke out and 121 people died. More than 40 people have been injured in this accident, who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the district. According to devotees, if there was a better system, the accident would not have happened. After the accident, the organizers of the satsang, the police and the administration are being questioned.

No exit and entry points were made at the site. Devotees entered from anywhere as per their convenience. No emergency route was made. A medical team should have been present there, so that the devotees could be given first aid if their health deteriorates. But there was no health worker present. Also there was no arrangement for an ambulance.

According to the crowd, the deployment of policemen was less

People were bothered by the oppressive heat and humidity, but adequate fans and coolers were not provided to keep up with the crowd. At the same time, the deployment of policemen at the site was also less. There should have been barricading where Baba passed, but there was not. There was no food and drink facility at the venue.

No one has the answer to these 12 questions

  1. Why not create exit and entry points?
  2. Why was the emergency route not made?
  3. Why was there no medical team on the spot?
  4. There should have been at least five ambulances, why not?
  5. Why was there no arrangement of coolers and fans according to the crowd?
  6. Why weren’t there enough volunteers?
  7. Why was less force deployed by the administration?
  8. Why was there no proper food and drink arrangement?
  9. Why was there no barricading on the route through which Baba’s caravan passed?
  10. Why all the things were not mentioned in the permission taken by the organizers?
  11. At least 10 acres of land was to be leveled, which did not happen?
  12. Access roads were to be built around the grounds, why were they not built?

The arrangements inside the pandal at the gathering place were entrusted to Baba’s security team and volunteers. Even the district administration did not make adequate arrangements considering Baba’s earlier programs. LIU also had no input for such a large crowd. For this reason, the police was handling security arrangements from outside. The number of soldiers was also very small in proportion to the crowd.

After the satsang ended the crowd went out of control

About 2.5 lakh devotees attended the satsang. When the satsang was over at two o’clock in the afternoon, Bhole Baba’s caravan started leaving. Meanwhile devotees came forward to touch the dust of his feet. Meanwhile, the crowd was out of control. There was a stampede then. People kept crushing each other.

Police registered an FIR

At the same time, the police have registered an FIR against Sevadar and organizers in this matter. However, Bhole Baba’s name is not included in this FIR. Questions are also being raised on this FIR. Meanwhile, CM Yogi has ordered an inquiry into the accident.
