Recently, Haryana Police had done recruitment for more than 5 thousand posts and now Odisha Police has also released recruitment for many posts, for which notification has also been released and online application process has also started. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of Odisha Police, odishapolice.gov.in. The last date to apply is fixed on October 13. These recruitments are out for a total of 1360 posts, in which constables/constables will be recruited under various battalions.
As per Odisha Police official notification, candidate can apply under only one battalion and selection cannot be changed after applying. So, candidates should choose their option carefully. Apart from this, it is also important for candidates to know that Women, Transgender and People with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are not eligible to apply for these posts. There is no application fee for this constable recruitment process.
Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024: What is the Eligibility Criteria?
- Educational Qualification- Candidates should have passed Class 10th (Matric) Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha or any other equivalent examination conducted by any other Board.
- Age Limit- Candidates age should be minimum 18 years and not more than 23 years as on 1st January, 2024. However, age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.
- Candidate must be a citizen of India. He should be of good character and good health and should not have any physical defect or deformity.
- Candidate should be able to speak, read and write Oriya language. Apart from this he should have passed Odia subject in matriculation examination also.
Odisha Police Constable Vacancy 2024: What is the Selection Process?
Candidates will be selected in four stages for constable/constable recruitment in Odisha Police. First Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) followed by Physical Efficiency Test, then Driving Test and finally Medical Test of the candidates will be conducted.

The computer based recruitment test will be of 100 marks in total, in which 100 questions will be asked. This recruitment exam will be of two hours duration. The questions will be objective type multiple choice and most importantly, the exam has negative marking. So answer the questions in the exam only by thinking.
