Govinda’s Hindu, Muslim and Christian connection
Many Bollywood stars are seen worshiping the Lord, one of whom is famous actor Govinda. Govinda frequently visits certain religious places. Govinda is strictly a practicing Hindu, but notably, two special women in his life, his mother and his wife, have converted to their respective religions.
Recently Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja revealed in a podcast that she believes in Christianity and if we talk about Govinda’s mother, it is said that her mother was a Muslim. As for Govinda, earlier this year he was spotted at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. Recently when he made his first statement after being shot, he also said that everything is fine with Mahakal’s blessings.
Mother left the Muslim religion after marriage
Both Govinda’s mother and father were associated with the film industry. His father Arun Ahuja was a film producer and his mother Nirmala Devi was a Hindustani classical singer. Govinda’s mother’s real name was Nazim, who converted to Hinduism after marriage and also changed her name. Well, after marriage, his mother and all Govinda’s siblings have followed Hindu customs. While Govinda is engrossed in devotion to God, his wife follows the practices of Christianity.

Recently, Sunita Ahuja opened up about her conversion to Christianity on the Times Out with Ankit podcast. “I converted to Christianity to stop drinking,” he said during the show. Sunita said that she was born in Bandra and grew up there since childhood. There was a purely Christian atmosphere and he even studied in a Christian school, due to which most of his friends were Christians. Sunita said that she used to hear from people that wine is considered to be the blood of Jesus in Christianity. Because of this, he adopted Christianity in his childhood.
Sunita said that she also goes to church every Saturday. When asked about her parents’ reaction, Sunita said that her parents had no knowledge of her conversion to Christianity.
