A strange case of how alcohol intoxication can be harmful to human life has come to light in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. In Sonahatu in nearby Bandu subdivision, a drunken man named Suresh climbed an 11,000 volt electric pole. Due to climbing on the electric pole, the youth came in contact with the electric wire and got a severe electric shock and fell down.
The villagers immediately called the power department officials and reported the matter and the lights were cut off. However, by then Suresh’s man was electrocuted to death. As soon as the information about the matter was received, the police reached the spot and the police of Sonahatu police station took the body of the deceased in their possession and sent it to the hospital for postmortem. The police are investigating the matter.

This is not the first incident in Jharkhand, before this incident in Sonahatu Police Station there was a person named Zanku Munda, a resident of Roll Karanjatoli village under Budhamu Police Station, Ranchi. He took the risky step of climbing an electric high tension tower following a family dispute at home due to the closure of a brick kiln and loss of employment.
The young man started threatening to jump down from the tower to the ground. After receiving information about this matter, the police of Budhamu police station immediately spoke to the officials of the electricity grid and cut the power. Zanku Munda can also be killed by lightning. After a high voltage drama that lasted for about 3 hours, the youth Zanku Munda was brought down from the high tension power tower. Mentally weak Zanku Munda was stressed due to the closure of a brick kiln in his area, as he became jobless due to the closure of the brick kiln.
