Gorakhpur Link Express ready for speed, now not far from Lucknow and Delhi CM City

Gorakhpur Link Expressway

Gorakhpur Link Expressway, one of the dream projects of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has been completed. Soon it will be opened for traffic. Gorakhpur will be directly connected with Purvanchal Expressway as soon as this expressway starts. After this, travel to Lucknow will become easier and people will be able to reach Delhi quickly via Lucknow Agra Expressway and then Yamuna Express. By the time of review in the first week of June, 97 percent of the expressway was completed.

Gorakhpur Link Expressway Gorakhpur Bypass NH- 27 starts from Jetpur village and connects with Purvanchal Expressway near Salarpur in Azamgarh. The length of this link express is about 91.352 km. A total cost of Rs 5876.67 crore has been spent on its construction. This includes expenditure on land acquisition. The opening of this express will directly benefit not only the people of Gorakhpur but also Ambedkar Nagar and Sant Kabir Nagar. While the people of Azamgarh and Mau will be directly connected to Gorakhpur.

Divisional Commissioner reviewed

This expressway is constructed by the UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA). Work progress details are updated on the official website of UPEDA. It is said that the clearing and grubbing work in the main carriageway is 100 percent complete. Similarly soil filling has also been done. Let us tell you that two days ago Gorakhpur Commissioner Anil Dhingra reviewed the major projects of the district. In which he directed to complete the rest of the work at the earliest by focusing on the Link Expressway.

Azamgarh to Gorakhpur in three and a half hours

According to the information, currently it takes around 5 to 6 hours to travel from Azamgarh to Gorakhpur. After the opening of this link expressway, the journey will take only three to three and a half hours. This expressway will be fully access controlled. This will reduce fuel consumption in vehicles and save travel time. Apart from this, along with the social and economic development of the respective areas, the income of agriculture, commerce, tourism and industries will also be boosted. There is also a plan to create an industrial corridor in the areas adjacent to this expressway.
