Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big statement regarding Gnanavapi Complex located in Varanasi. CM Yogi said that today people call Gyanvapi in other words mosque, but actually Gyanvapi is actually ‘Vishwanath’.

At a program CM Yogi said, “When Acharya Adi Shankar, full of his Advaita knowledge, came to Kashi for further spiritual studies, here Lord Vishwanath wanted to examine him in person. Baba Vishwanath, one morning when Adi Shankar was going to the river Ganga to bathe in the Brahma Muhurta, stood before him in the form of an ordinary person, called the most adhuta.

He continues, “Then naturally comes out of his mouth, get out of my way.” On this he questions Chandal Adi Shankar in front, “You consider yourself an expert in Advaita knowledge. What you want to remove, your knowledge is by looking at this physical body. Or she is seeing Brahma residing within this physical body. If Brahman is true, then the same Brahman that is within you is also within me. If after knowing this Brahman truth you reject this Brahman, it means that your knowledge is not correct. Adi Shankar was stunned to hear this from Chandal.

Chief Minister Yogi continued, “Adi Shankar in surprise asked who are you? I want to know this. So he said that the Gnanavapi for which you worship, unfortunately that Gnanavapi today is called Masjid in other words. But among the givers of that knowledge is Vishwanath. I am Vishwanath, the real form of Jnanavapi whom you have come here from Kerala to worship.”

“After hearing Baba Vishwanath’s reply, Adi Shankar prostrated before him. At the same time, they regret that this physical untouchability is not only the biggest obstacle in the way of spiritual cultivation but also the biggest obstacle to national unity and integrity. If our society understood this great obstacle, this country would never have been a slave.
