Fake IAS cheated Rs 5 crores
A shocking case has come to light from UP’s Ghaziabad. Here a case has come to light where a person pretended to be an IAS officer and cheated. The man took Rs 5 crore from a man on the pretext of getting him a job in the Ministry of Home Affairs and then kept him on the move. As the youth became suspicious, he questioned the person. After this it came to know that he is not an IAS officer. Knowing this, the ground slipped from under the young man’s feet.
Following the court’s order, the police have registered a report at the Indirapuram Police Station of the Ghaziabad Commissionerate. The victim who filed the report is Anzar Ahmed Rizvi who lives in Vasundhara Sector 15. In his complaint, Anjar said he met a man named Pradeep Sharma, who claimed to be an IAS officer, when he was working in a government office. After this, his recognition grew due to frequent interactions with him. Meanwhile, Pradeep Sharma told Anjar Rizvi that a good job post has come up in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He said he had direct links with higher officials.
Scam in getting tender of luxury vehicles
Pradeep Sharma even told Anjar that if anyone wants to get a job in the Ministry of Home Affairs, he can be contacted directly. Apart from this, many luxury vehicles of the Ministry of Home Affairs are also to be auctioned and some luxury vehicles are also to be leased to the Ministry of Home Affairs, for which tenders are issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The report further states that Pradeep Sharma told Anzar Ahmed that he would get the tender. Along with this, tenders for vehicles on hire in the Ministry of Home Affairs will also be given to them. Two posts will also be available as Assistant Review Officer in Allahabad Court on the letter of Ministry of Home Affairs. But for all these works he has to pay 5 crore 5 lakh rupees.
The accused continued to pursue the case
Prosecutor Anjar Rizvi gave all this money to Pradeep Sharma at his residence as he knew that the person was an IAS officer. After taking the money, Pradeep Sharma assured Anjar Rizvi that all his work would be completed by the year 2022, but as none of the work was completed on time, Anjar Rizvi approached Pradeep Sharma and his brother-in-law for an answer. But in this regard, Pradeep Sharma took the matter forward. Anjar finally suspected that Pradeep Sharma was an IAS officer and started an investigation.
IAS officer used to pretend to cheat
After the investigation revealed that Pradeep Sharma was not an IAS officer, the victim filed a case in court, in which the victim accused Pradeep Sharma and his sister and brother-in-law. After receiving the court order, the police have registered a case of fraud against Pradeep Sharma and have also formed a team to investigate the fraud case. The police have also formed a team to nab the accused. The police claim that the accused will be arrested soon.
