Gautam Adani, the second richest person in India and the 14th richest person in the world, received a total salary of Rs 9.26 crore in the financial year 2023-24. Although 10 companies of the Adani Group are listed in the stock market, Gautam Adani has received salary from only 2 companies. He earns this salary for being the promoter of the company, its president and performing many other important responsibilities. But did you know that his salary is less than that of many big business magnates in the country? Also, do you know what its rating is?

The information provided by 10 listed companies of the Adani Group to the stock market. Their investigation revealed that Gautam Adani received salary from only two companies, Adani Enterprises Limited and Adani Ports and SEZ.

How much salary did you receive from which company?

Adani Group works in all areas, from the port sector to green energy. He received a salary of Rs 2.19 crore in 2023-24 from the group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises. He has received Rs 27 lakh as other benefits and allowances. Thus, his total salary from this company has been 2.46 million rupees. According to AEL’s annual report, Gautam Adani’s salary valuation has been 3%. Apart from this, Gautam Adani received a salary of Rs 6.8 crore from Adani Ports and SEZ Limited (APSEZ), the second largest company in the group.

At the same time, Gautam Adani’s salary is much less than the Rs 16.7 crore 2022-23 salary of Sunil Bharti Mittal, owner of telecom company Airtel. Among those who are paid more than Bajaj Auto chief Gautam Adani, Rajiv Bajaj (Rs 53.7 crore) and Hero Motors’ Pawan Munjal (Rs 80 crore) are fewer.

Owner of property worth Rs 8.85 lakh crore

According to the ‘Bloomberg Billionaires Index’, Gautam Adani’s total wealth is $106 billion (around Rs 8.85 lakh crore). There is often a competition between him and Mukesh Ambani to become the richest person in Asia. Before the Hindenburg Research report came out, he had surpassed Mukesh Ambani twice in terms of wealth. He even became the third richest person in the world.

According to the Hindenburg Research report, the share value of his group companies had decreased by $150 billion, but he has now recovered and has become the second richest person in the country. Mukesh Ambani is ranked 12th with assets worth $111 billion. While Gautam Adani is ranked 14th in this list.

Salary of brothers, nephews and children

Gautam Adani’s younger brother Rajesh received a salary of Rs 8.37 crore from AEL, including Rs 4.71 crore as commission on earnings. While his nephew Pranab Adani received a total salary of Rs 6.46 million, including a commission of Rs 4.5 million.

Gautam Adani did not receive any commission from Adani Enterprises but received Rs 5 million as commission from Adani Port. His son Karan Adani earned a revenue of Rs 3.9 million from Adani port. Gautam Adani’s brother, nephew and son do not receive more than one salary from a company.
