Bijnor mangoes are in demand abroad.

Mangoes from Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, famous for their sweetness and unmatched beauty, are famous not only in the country but also abroad. The juicy mangoes here are very popular in Asia, Europe and Gulf countries. The mango season is slowly coming to an end, however, there is a steady demand for Bijnor’s mangoes in the international market, due to which mango traders and gardeners seem happy with the huge income.

The ‘end’ of the mango season is about to come. Dussehra mangoes have disappeared from the garden. By August 15th, the rest of the mango crop will also be almost over. But the sudden surge in demand for Indian mangoes from foreign markets has put mango traders in trouble. Bijnor has mango orchards on about thirty thousand hectares of land. From where Achari mangoes along with Dussehra, Laganda, Banarasi and Chausa are sent to many countries of the country and the world.

The demand for Bijnor’s mangoes has increased in foreign countries

Since last fortnight due to demand of Dussehra, Banarasi, Langda and Chausa mangoes from many countries, these mangoes are being sent to many countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey. Because of this, mango orchard owners and mango suppliers are worried. Mango gardener Omveer Singh says that the taste of Bijnor’s mangoes is such that once one tastes it, one cannot easily like the taste of mangoes from anywhere else but here.

These are the qualities of mangoes

A mango gardener said that most of the mango orchards in Bijnor are located in sticky sandy soil. Only vermicompost or local manure is used in these gardens, due to which the trees get all the nutrients. Also, this type of soil has less water content and more sweetness. Exporter of Bijnor Dr. Shoaib said Bijnor’s Dussehra, Banarasi, Laganda and Chausa mangoes are in high demand in many countries due to their wonderful taste and sweetness.

Dr. who sent about thirty containers of mangoes to Saudi Arabia this mango season. Shoaib has also received orders to send consignments of mangoes to Bangladesh, America and England. He says the highest demand is for organic mangoes or mangoes prepared using less pesticides.
