NDRF personnel evacuate people trapped in floods
Rains have wreaked havoc in Gujarat for the past several days. Many districts of the state are experiencing flood-like conditions due to heavy rains. At the same time, many districts have been flooded. 26 people have died in the last 3 days. Air Force helicopters are engaged in rescue and relief operations. Teams of NDRF, SDRF and Air Force are continuously conducting rescue operations.
About 40 thousand people have been forced to leave their homes due to floods. At the same time, more than 17000 people have been moved to safer places. NDRF and Air Force are continuously conducting rescue operations. This morning, the Information Ministry of Dwarka district of Gujarat has released a video showing Air Force helicopters rescuing people from Kalyanpur taluk there.

Rescue operation is also going on in Vadodara
Heavy rains have created havoc in Gujarat’s Vadodara. Some areas here are inundated up to 10 to 12 feet. Many people are trapped in government accommodation Kriti Mandir vans here due to heavy rains and are being rescued. A video of the rescue operation has also surfaced. The flood situation in Vadodara is critical. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert there.

The Indian Army is also conducting a rescue operation
Amid the flood crisis, the Gujarat government sought help from the Indian Army, following which 6 army units are carrying out rescue operations in the most flood-affected areas. Due to this, Immediate Disaster Relief (HADR) is being provided to people.

Many districts are on red alert
The Meteorological Department has declared red alert for rain in 11 districts of Gujarat and yellow alert in 22 districts. IMD has declared red alert in Kutch, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Morbi, Surendranagar, Junagadh, Rajkot, Botad, Girsomanath, Amreli and Bhavnagar.
