A letter written to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on May 25 is going viral on social media. In the letter, patient Mohan Swaroop Bharadwaj (45), a resident of Sushant Golf City, said that on May 23, 2024, around 4.30 pm, he felt dizzy and fell down and was drenched in sweat. His brother and wife immediately rushed him to Medanta Hospital and admitted him.

Bring 8 lakh rupees in 30 minutes

At the hospital, Dr. Mahim Saran and Dr. Avneesh (cardiology) performed his angiography and other tests. After examination, Rs 8 lakh was demanded from his brother and wife and it was said that a valve would be fitted in the patient’s heart. If the money is not arranged in 30 minutes they will die. His brother and wife did not have that much money. Cash was also only two lakh rupees.

Abused the attendants during the discharge

After a while his friend Manoj Kumar came there. He told the doctors that he had no heart problems. He has stomach gas problem. He took me out of Medanta to Dr. Global Hospital. Deepak wanted to show Agarwal, but the doctors and nursing staff of Medanta Hospital misbehaved and abused me while discharging me. He also quarreled with his brother and wife.

The patient was cured with just 125 rupees medicine.

Somehow his brother, wife and friends gave him leave and at midnight Dr. Global Hospital. Deepak Agarwal took it. After seeing there, Dr. Deepak Agarwal prescribed medicine for only 125 rupees and gave three injections. In two hours he got relief. At five in the morning he came home completely fit.

24 thousand rupees were spent in Madanta

In the letter, Mohan Swarup Bharadwaj further wrote that if a valve had been placed in his heart at Medanta Hospital, his life would have been ruined. That is why Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is requested to take strict action against the hospital and please return the approximately 24 thousand rupees spent there.

What did Medanta Hospital say?

Clarifying the viral letter, Medanta Hospital said the patient had fabricated the story. He had a heart block, but now he is saying that it got fixed for 125 rupees. We have all the reports including the patient’s angiography. If you want, watch it. Medicine may have given him immediate relief, but there is no permanent cure for any disease.
