A blanket of fog has covered Delhi-NCR.
Monsoon has entered Delhi, the capital of the country. The sky was cloudy since Sunday morning. At the same time, there is a blanket of fog in the atmosphere. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab. Orange Alert has been issued in Delhi till Tuesday and Yellow Alert from Wednesday to Friday.
Delhi-NCR will be surrounded by rain throughout the week. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh will experience heavy rain at widespread places from Sunday to Wednesday. Rain is likely at many places on Thursday-Friday. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain on Sunday i.e. today. Heavy rains on Friday caused heavy damage in many areas of the capital. Due to rain, the temperature dropped to 33 degrees. Along with this, people had to face heavy humidity during the day on Saturday. Compared to Friday, the temperature also increased to around 36 degrees.
Rain alert in UP
The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains with thundershowers over North-West, Central and East India during the next 5 days. Talking about Uttar Pradesh, there has been heavy rain due to the entry of monsoon here. Western and eastern parts of the state will see rain during the week. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in most parts of western Uttar Pradesh from Sunday to Tuesday, some parts on Wednesday-Thursday and more areas on Friday. East Uttar Pradesh will also have similar weather conditions.
Rain even on the mountains
People who are yearning for rain in the midst of scorching heat seem to be getting relief now. It is raining heavily from the plains to the mountains. India Metrology has predicted heavy rain at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan from today till July 3. This rainy weather will continue throughout the week.
Heavy rains in Bihar-Jharkhand-Chhattisgarh
According to the IMD, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha will receive heavy rain on Sunday. Apart from this, heavy rain is likely in West Rajasthan on 2nd and 3rd July and in Bihar till 2nd July. Scattered heavy rain is likely over Saurashtra and Kutch, Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka during July 1. Heavy rain is likely over Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra during July 3.
Monsoon is advancing
Monsoon conditions are good. The northern limit of monsoon passes through Jaisalmer, Churu, Bhiwani, Delhi, Aligarh, Hardoi, Moradabad, Una, Pathankot, Jammu. The IMD has said that the conditions are favorable for the advance of Southwest Monsoon over West Rajasthan, Haryana-Chandigarh and some more parts of Punjab and rest of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu during the next 2-3 days.
