In Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh, a married crazy lover stabbed his own girlfriend to death in broad daylight. He beat the Sarera youth 11 times. Meanwhile there was a lot of crowd. But no one tried to help the girl. After committing the crime, the accused ran away from there. But the police arrested the accused within 7 hours of the incident.
The name of the accused is Durgesh Prajapati and he works in a petrol pump. He has already been married twice. Wife does not live with him. Hence he was living with his second wife. He also has two children from both his wives. Despite having a wife, he was having an affair with a girl named Ranjana Yadav. But Durgesh could not bear it when Ranjana broke up with him. He then killed Ranjana. This incident of murder has also been captured in the CCTV camera installed nearby.
Superintendent of Police Bhavna Gupta said that the accused Durgesh Prajapati absconded after the incident, who has been arrested from Marwahi area. The incident took place around 11:30 am in front of an ATM in Gaurela city. Ranjana Yadav, a girl from Jhagarkhand village, was going somewhere with her uncle’s son.

Had an affair for three years
The SP said that according to preliminary information, college student Ranjana Yadav, who also worked in a beauty parlor here, was in a relationship with Prajapati for the past three years. Durgesh Prajapati, who works at a petrol pump, has been married twice before. Ranjana stopped talking to her two months ago and blocked her number. Angered by this, Prajapati planned to attack Ranjana.
Ranjana was stabbed 11 times
Durgesh Prajapati left for the petrol pump on Wednesday morning. But he didn’t go there. Instead he started chasing Ranjana. Ranjana was going somewhere on a two-wheeler with her brother when Prajapati stopped her and started quarreling with her. Ranjana’s brother then informed his relatives over the phone about Durgesh’s act. Durgesh then took out a knife and attacked Ranjana 11 times, due to which the girl died on the spot.
Arrested in 7 hours
The SP said that after the incident, a police team reached the spot and the girl’s body was sent for postmortem. Also, the search for the accused was started. In about seven hours, the police arrested the accused from Marwahi area. Police have registered a case and started investigation regarding this incident.
