A live mortar bomb on Chacha Ramdevra Road.
A commotion erupted after a live mortar bomb was found on the Chacha-Ramdevora road in Jaisalmer’s Ramdevara Mela. The bomb was half buried in the soil in the middle of the road. Panic spread among the devotees when they saw the bomb. Police have been informed. Lathi Police Station and Indian Army are going to the spot. People say that if a vehicle had passed over the bomb on the road, a big tragedy could have happened.
Earlier, the police received a letter threatening to blow up the tomb of Baba Ramdev with a bomb. The security of the Baba Ramdev Samadhi temple was increased after the head constable of Pokhran railway station received a threatening letter. Now a sensation has spread as a live mortar bomb was found on the Mela Marg. A large number of people are reaching Baba Ramdev temple to participate in the fair. Security has been intensified at the mausoleum.
Panic after bomb was found on the way to Ramdevara fair
The mausoleum of the famous saint Baba Ramdev is in Ramdewara town of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. A large number of devotees come to the fair held here every year. There was panic after a bomb was found on the road leading to the temple on Wednesday. The Chacha-Ramdevara road leading to the temple is unpaved. When the devotees passed by, they found a live mortar bomb half-buried in the soil on the road. An atmosphere of fear was created among the devotees passing by as soon as they saw the bomb. As soon as the information about the bomb was received, the police and army officials have reached the spot.
A threatening letter was also received earlier
On Tuesday, the head constable of the Pokhran railway station in the area received a letter threatening to blow up Baba Ramdev’s tomb. The letter threatened to blow up the temple by putting a bomb in the horse that was going to climb the Samadhi of Baba Ramdev. As soon as the threat was received, the temple premises were evacuated and a search was carried out. ATS and police jointly investigated. The horses mounted on the mausoleum were also examined. Everyone coming and going is being monitored. Teams of ATS, Police and ERT have been engaged in security at the Ramdevara fair since last night. In such a situation, security agencies have also become alert after bomb was found on Chacha-Ramdevara road. Now the bomb disposal squad of the army is defusing it.
