First group left for Amarnath Yatra, LG Manoj Sinha gave green signal after pooja

The first batch of devotees left Jammu for the Amarnath Yatra on Friday. Before bidding farewell to the devotees, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha performed puja and flagged off the Amarnath base camp in Jammu. On this occasion, Manoj Sinha said that the first batch of devotees has left Jammu for Amarnath Yatra. Talking about the security, he said that in the last 3-4 years many arrangements have been made for the Yatra and this time also the Jammu and Kashmir administration has made all the necessary arrangements, the security has been increased.

Strict security arrangements

Today the first batch left Jammu’s base camp Bhagwati Nagar for Baltal and Pahalgam. This journey will start from June 29. The deployment of security forces has been increased along the Yatra route. Along with this, passenger vehicles are being monitored by drones and 365 angle CCTV cameras. Security checkpoints have been set up at every 500 meters and one kilometer on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

Pre-trip meeting

Devotees are very excited for Amarnath Yatra. Tourists said that we have come for Darshan for the first time, Baba has called us and we also want to tell people to come to Baba without any worries. On June 27, a day before flagging off the Yatra, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha held a meeting regarding security arrangements for the Yatra in which it was ensured that all kinds of security arrangements are in place during the Yatra. It was also ensured that doctors, nurses and relief and rescue teams were deployed. The Lt Governor said that pilgrims are the brand ambassadors of Jammu and Kashmir.
