The Kolkata Doctor Rape Case was heard in the Supreme Court today i.e. Monday. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court said that there is negligence in this incident. Kolkata Police registered the FIR with a delay of 14 hours. During the hearing, the court directed the protesting doctors to return to work by 5 pm tomorrow i.e. Tuesday.
Apart from this, CBI was given a week’s time to investigate the entire matter. The CBI will now have to file a fresh status report by September 17. Both the state government and the CBI filed their respective status reports on the Kolkata case today. On August 9, a junior female doctor was raped and murdered at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
