This father carries the burden of responsibilities with his two-year-old child with him
The most special moment in a parent’s life is when their baby takes its first breath in this world. Then raising him and struggling to make him a better person… What parents don’t do for a child? It is very easy to say that a person can run his family without any help or support. But this does not happen every time. Women are generally expected to take care of their responsibilities both at home and outside the home and nurture children properly, but sometimes stories come out that break this tradition. This is the story of 23-year-old Sonu, who rides a rented Xolo bike on the roads of capital Delhi.
Sonu rides his bike on the roads of Delhi irrespective of winter, summer or rain. It is a food delivery app for companies. But you might think what is so special about this… What is so special about this is her two year old innocent child Sarthak who walks with Sonu. Sarthak is only two years old, but even at such a young age he travels several kilometers on a bike with his father every day. The two-year-old sees his father working hard every day to create a better future for him. Sonu works with him.
Sonu himself was once in a relationship with Sarthak
Sarthak’s mother, Nancy, is currently in the village. He stays there and takes care of the house. This is not the first time that Sonu has taken responsibility. From childhood, they have the skills to carry out responsibilities. According to the news published in the Times of India, Sonu took charge of the household at the age of just 6 years. Not yet knowing the meaning of the word responsibility, he is toiling in the heat of life to support his family. Sonu is a resident of Bihar. He supported the entire family by handling studies and work simultaneously. Then Nancy came into his life and everything changed. Sonu and Nancy’s love did not get family approval. However, after getting married, both reached Delhi in the year 2019.
There was no money and no place to stay
Came to Delhi but it was difficult to live without family. But courage comes only when one has nothing to lose. Sonu and Nancy also had nothing to lose. They had neither money nor a place to live… they only had each other’s company and the hope of a better life. Sonu and Nancy did many kinds of work together. Sonu first worked as a laborer for Rs 200 and then also worked as a security guard. But then life took a turn and Sarthak was born. Sarthak’s arrival in the world seems to have changed Sonu-Nancy’s life. After this Sonu started doing food delivery work and also started riding Xolo bike. He might have earned only 500-600 rupees by traveling several kilometers all day, but seeing Sarthak’s innocent smile, it seemed as if all of Sonu’s fatigue was gone.
Father and son laugh even in conflict
After Nancy moved to the village, the full responsibility of Sarthach fell on father Sonu. He would feed her, bathe her, clothe her… sometimes he would become her horse and sometimes roam the city all day to fulfill her wishes. But Sonu was not stupid to leave Sarthak alone at home. So, Sonu decided to keep his piece of heart close to his chest. He takes it with him to work every day. Two-year-old Sarthak watches his father throughout the day and learns what it means to laugh even in conflict.
Sonu works 12 hours a day
Talking to Times of India, father Sonu said that he wants Sarthak to study well and start his school soon. Sonu wants Sarthak to go to school and make friends. Learn how to live life. He must dream and dare to fulfill them. Sonu works 12-13 hours a day… but in his spare time he sits with his child on the footpath or in the park and watches the innocence of the innocent child. Listen and play it. Because of her smile in his troubles, he even earns himself some laughter… and this laughter is the biggest and most successful fruit of his whole day’s work. But, the journey Sonu makes every day… he is also saddened by the fact that not only he himself is taking the beating but little Sarthak is also taking it all.
Fatigue, fear and burden of responsibilities
Sonu has to travel with Sarthak in Delhi’s harsh winter, heat and rain. He bears everything but the child also has to bear all this which breaks Sonu’s heart. Talking to TOI, Sonu said that many times he has to go to deserted roads at night for orders. Stray dogs often fall behind his bike… Traffic on Delhi roads and frequent road accidents bother him a lot. Even in extreme heat, bitter cold or thundering clouds and torrential rains, they have to carry them with them… But the child whose father is so brave will be brave too. Sarthak also supports his father in every difficulty and his smile remains intact. Sonu says that his wife also took care of several households during her pregnancy so that she and Sonu could run the household. He himself eats a single loaf but fulfills every wish of the worthy. Perhaps it is because of this love and dedication that Sonu keeps smiling despite being burdened with fatigue, fear and responsibilities because the reason for his smile is to walk shoulder to shoulder with him.
