A heartbreaking case of marriage fraud and cheating has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli. Here a young woman had a conversation with a young man through Facebook. The conversation blossomed into love and the two got married. But after the marriage, the woman came to know the truth about her husband that the ground slipped from under her feet. Apart from this, the husband along with his friend raped his own wife.
In fact, Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Jehanabad, village Bhauna in Pilibhit district, was introduced to a girl from Surrey police station area in Rae Bareli district through Facebook. Soon acquaintance turned into love. The two started taking vows to be with each other and then their love blossomed to such an extent that they got married in January 2024 without the family’s consent. Everything went well for a few days and the accused husband started coming to Rae Bareli. Then the accused husband Ramesh befriended Manoj Kumar, a resident of Surrey Police Station area of ​​Rae Bareli district and from here this love story took a new turn.
The accused was married
After a few months of marriage, the victim came to know that the accused had cheated on her and was married before. A lot of controversy started between the two regarding this and then accused Ramesh along with his partner Manoj called the victim to meet as part of planning. Both gang-raped the victim when she came to meet him. After committing the rape incident, both the accused fled from the spot.
Police arrested the accused
After the incident, the victim went home and narrated her ordeal and reached the police station to file a written complaint against the accused. The police registered a case against the accused on 23 May 2024. After registering the case, the police sent the victim for medical treatment and then started searching for the accused. The accused had switched off their mobile phones to avoid the police. But, through the informer’s information and surveillance, the police have arrested the accused from Surrey Police Station area.
