The person who filed the case against the former MLA is receiving threats from the underworld.
The victim, who filed a case against Nadeem Javed, a former MLA close to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur, has received threats from underworld don Abu Salem’s brother and his brothers. The victim Khursheed Anwar Khan received calls from Lucknow and Dubai threatening to withdraw the case. It was said that if this is not done, even his body will not be found. However, after receiving the threat, the victim has complained to Jaunpur Superintendent of Police Ajay Pal Sharma and demanded security.
Khurshid Anwar Khan, a resident of Para Kamal village in Khetsarai police station area, registered the case on September 13. In which he alleged that he was beaten, fatally assaulted and robbed in the middle of the road by his brothers-in-law for writing against Nadeem Javed on social media. The police registered a case based on the complaint of the victim. It is alleged that the victim is now being threatened to withdraw the case. The victim Khursheed Anwar Khan has also been Nadeem Javed’s representative in the past and is a relative of Nadeem.
Threats were received from Lucknow and Dubai
In the application given to the Superintendent of Police, the victim has alleged that after registering a case against former Congress MLA Nadeem Javed and his accomplices, she is receiving threatening calls from Lucknow, not only that she is also receiving threatening calls from Dubai.
The victim, Khurshid Anwar Khan, has alleged that he received a call from Lucknow. The man who made the threat identified himself as the brother of underworld don Abu Salem. On the phone, the person told Khurshid to withdraw the case registered against Nadeem Javed, otherwise your body will not be found. Khurshid said that he also received a call from a person named Zulfi Khan from Dubai. Zulfi described himself as Abu Salem’s man. He also said over the phone that Nadeem should withdraw the case registered against Javed or else he will lose his life.
I can be killed anytime – the victim
After receiving the threat, the victim on Monday lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police and requested for protection of life and property of herself and her family. Khurshid says that he can be killed anytime. After receiving the threat, his entire family is scared. Regarding this, Jaunpur Additional Superintendent of Police, city Arvind Kumar Verma said that the application has been received and necessary action will be taken after investigation.
