Now the time has come for the world to see the skills of India. Therefore, the government has decided to send a 60-member Indian team to the World Skills Competition. In fact, a 60-member Indian team will participate in the World Skills Competition. It will take place in Lyon, France from September 10 to 15. 60 players in 52 categories
According to the release, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has organised the ceremony of its largest contingent of Team India for the World Skill Competition. It involves 60 participants. The release says that India’s participation in this global event is linked to the government’s aim of making the country a global hub for skilled talents. In this event, which is generally considered as the Olympic Games of International Skill Events, 60 competitors are sent from India to compete in 52 skill categories. More than 70 countries send their participants to this contest.
More than 2.5 contestants will participate
Over 1,400 competitors and 1,300 experts will participate in the competition which will be held at EuroExpo Lyon from September 10-15. Over 2.5 lakh participants are expected to take part in the World Skills Competition held every two years. Jayant Choudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, wished the young Indian team all the best for success during the ceremony.
