A dead body of a 25-year-old man was found in a canal in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district. The deceased youth was released from jail for theft 15 days ago. Seeing the body lying down in the canal, the villagers informed the police, after which the police reached the spot and took out the body and informed the family of the deceased about the incident. The mother of the deceased accused the village head of murder. At the same time, the police registered a case of murder against the village headman.
The deceased youth was missing for 4 days
The incident where the body of the youth was found in the canal took place in Bahera village of Bakewar police station area. The police took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. Police have identified the deceased as Rahul (25), son of Rajkumar, a resident of Maholla Kachhia Lakh. The family members of deceased Rahul said that he was missing for the last four days. Based on the complaint of the family members, the police have registered a case against the village head Vivek Yadav.
Pradhan took the young man in the car
Rahul’s mother said that on August 25 at 9 pm, the village head took Rahul with him in the car. When the family asked Vivek where he was going, he said that he would be back soon. When Rahul did not reach home at night, the mother asked the village chief where Rahul was and he said I don’t know where your son is. After this, Rahul’s mother went to Bakewar police station to lodge a complaint about her son’s disappearance.

The mother said her son was picked up by the village chief and has not returned home since. I fear that Pradhan Vivek Yadav will kill my son. Even after saying this, the police did not take any action in this matter, after which Rahul’s mother went and informed the SSP about the entire incident, but no one took any action there either.
The village chief was granted bail
Rahul’s mother Sitabi Devi said she was surprised that no family member had been granted bail. How did he get out on bail though? When the mother asked this question to Rahul, he said that the village head Vivek Yadav has secured my bail. Pradhan Vivek Yadav got my bail to get Krishna Yadav killed. The deceased further told the mother that he did not want to kill Krishna Yadav, but was forcing Pradhan Rahul to kill him.
The police registered a case against the village leader
Etawah SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma said that the body of a youth named Rahul was found floating in the Bakewar canal, after which the police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Based on the mother’s complaint, a case was registered against the named accused. The police have started an in-depth investigation into the matter. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in this case.
