Isha started getting compared to Hema Malini

Esha Deol, who started her career with ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poch’ in 2002, said that right from her first film, people started comparing her performance with her mother Hema Malini. In an interview with Zoom, Esha said that she was very excited to work in films, but after the very first release, her thinking about working in films completely changed. There was no pressure on her for her first film, but after the release of the film, the way she was compared to Hema Malini added to the pressure. Along with ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Puchhe’, Isha also signed ‘Na Tum Jaano Na Hum’ which was released in 2002.

Isha said that her parents Hema Malini and Dharmendra never put any pressure on her, but the reactions of the viewers started to put pressure on her. He said, “People started comparing me with my mother for my first film, even though she had done 200 films. Along with the comparison, people also started talking about my baby fat. The actress admitted that her cheeks were a bit chubby when she made her film debut, which suited her role beautifully. But people started saying – ‘It has a lot of baby fat.’

When her pressure became too much, she spoke to her mother, in which Hema asked Isha, “Why is she in this film industry?
