Where will Vande Bharat Metro run?

Indian Railways has launched Vande Metro for the first time for short and medium distances. This train running between Ahmedabad to Bhuj in Gujarat will have 12 coaches. According to railway sources, the fare for 23 km will be around Rs 30. A journey of 27 km will cost Rs 35.7. The distance between Ahmedabad and Bhuj is 352 kms, the fare will be Rs 445. The train has been designed in such a way that in case of fire the train will suffer minimum damage. An aerosol based fire fighting system has been developed. The train has a 3 hour battery backup with LFP battery. This train has a modular interior.

The train is equipped with luggage rack, hand holds and door hand railings. An automatic smoke/fire detection system is included with the alarm system. Two fire extinguishers of dry chemical powder – 4 kg capacity are installed in each coach. Along with this, 15 aspiration type fire detection points have been made in all the coaches. An emergency alarm push button has been installed to facilitate the safety of passengers.
