The release date of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ has been extended
Controversy has been going on for the last few days regarding the release of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’. The film was originally slated to release on September 6, but got postponed due to non-certification from the Censor Board. Kangana herself has given this information on social media platform X. Kangana’s film is based on the political upheaval in the country in 1975. Kangana has played the role of Indira Gandhi in this film.
Kangana Ranaut said on social media, “With a heavy heart, I announce that the release date of my directorial film Emergency has been postponed, we are still waiting for the confirmation from the censor board, the new release date will be announced soon.” , Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Why is there controversy?
The film ‘Emergency’ is facing huge opposition from members of the Sikh community. The community claims that the film has misrepresented Sikhs. According to him, the film has misrepresented the facts. He appealed to the Madhya Pradesh High Court to stop the film’s release, claiming that the film could spread tension and misinformation. Madhya Pradesh High Court sent notice to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, Central Government, Censor Board on the petition filed. Responding to the notice, the CBFC told the court that they have not yet given the film a censor certificate and the film is still under consideration. The Censor Board told the court that the certificate had been issued, but was later withheld due to rising tensions.
The High Court also did not support
To release the film on September 6, Zee Studios filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a censor certificate. However, the court refused to pass any order on September 4. The court has fixed September 18 as the date for the next hearing.
