ED action on STP scam in Delhi Jal Board, 41 lakh cash seized in raid

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at various locations in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) corruption case. 41 lakh cash, digital evidence and various criminal documents have been seized in the ED raid. The agency’s Delhi zonal office made this recovery during a raid conducted on July 3.

The Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch of the ED has initiated the action against Eurotech Environmental Private Limited and others. The ED registered an FIR under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and has now started an investigation based on it.

It was alleged that its cost was estimated at Rs. 1,546 crore, but during the tender process it was revised to Rs. 1,943 crore was made. In this way, a conspiracy was hatched to embezzle government property and cause damage.
